The goal of the workshop is to investigate the role of the voice as an instrument by singing songs from the repertoire of oral traditions from different countries around the world.
The aim will be to explore the expressive and artistic elements of the voice to enrich its musical, aesthetic and interpretative vocabulary through the study of polyphonies from various countries (Africa, South America, Georgia, India, etc. ...).
The melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic aspects of the songs will be analyzed with a playful approach based on imitation, improvisation, and memory for sound and words. We will not use written texts and scores.
No specific skills or preparation are required to participate. Curiosity is enough!
